Lauryn Adams, a senior in the Central High School Class of 2020, departed this life at the age of 17 years old during the summer of 2019 due to an unknown blood clot that moved to her lungs.
Although young in age, Lauryn lived a full, blessed life that was shown through her family, community, and time at Central High School. She was a true scholar and always excelled in her education. Pre-K through her 11th grade year in school she NEVER had anything lower than an “A.” We started a foundation in her memory to ensure we keep her legacy alive and also to help young people just like Lauryn to follow their goals and dreams.
The Lauryn Adams Foundation receives many scholarship applications each year. We carefully review each one to grant a few students scholarship awards of $1000 or more depending on the donations the foundation receives. View our past recipients below.
The scholarship portal is now closed for the high school senior graduating class of the 2023-2024 school year. We will announce the awards at the 2024 Gala.
